How much does it cost?
It's $54 a month and we bill and ship every two months, meaning you’ll be billed $108 every second month (and you won’t have to worry about running out). You can cancel, pause, or delay your delivery at any time, with no cancellation fees.
Are there any side effects?
Side-effects, if they occur, are both preventable and manageable. For more information on what you can expect, read our ingredients guides. Your assigned practitioner will also be able to guide you through any side-effects and provide more information.
When will I see results?
Unfortunately, great skin won’t magically happen overnight. Whether using an anti-ageing or acne treatment, clinical-grade skincare generally takes 8-12 weeks before results are visible. In the case of acne, you may experience skin purging before it gets better. This is normal, and patience is key.

What is purging?
Our acne treatment generally makes acne flare up before it clears, by drawing out impurities to the top, and exfoliating the superficial layer.
This is normal and usually takes no longer than 6 weeks, but it can also vary. To learn more about purging and how to deal with it, read our skin purging guide.

How can I tell the difference between purging and breakouts?
While they might feel similar, there are important differences between purging and breaking out.
Typically, a purge will appear on the surface of the skin as small bumps or blackheads. Plus, you might notice more stubborn breakouts (such as cyst-like pimples) that can take a few weeks to form. Another clear sign that your skin is purging can be the peeling, redness or flaking of old, dry skin cells.
On the other hand, an acne breakout isn't beneficial to your skin and can actually lead to long-term blemishes and even scarring. Breakouts can occur after adding a new product into your skincare routine and can indicate you're experiencing an allergic reaction. The other big difference between purging and breakouts is that a purge is likely to go away faster than a typical pimple.
Additionally, if your skin is breaking out in response to a new product, you might notice blemishes in a new area. These breakouts can take a lot longer to go away than a regular breakout.
If you notice a breakout from a new product (that isn't purging), it's best to discontinue using this product and swap to a new routine.

Can I use Software on body acne?
Yes, our custom skincare for acne can work on body breakouts. However, for mild cases of body acne, we recommend trying out our Salicylic Foaming Wash first.
Can I use Software for severe acne?
We recommend that extreme cases be referred to a dermatologist. Unfortunately, we don’t currently have this capability. Your practitioner will be able to advise whether you need to escalate your treatment.
What is better for acne, retinol or retinoids?
Retinol and retinoids are both excellent ingredients, and neither is better or worse. Rather, it depends on your skin type and goals.
If you have sensitive skin, or your skin reacts easily when trying new things, then retinol might be the place to start. It's not as harsh on the skin, and you can get it in different over-the-counter formulations, such as our Retinol Complex Oil. It is effective at stimulating cell renewal and protecting skin from environmental aggressors.
Meanwhile, clinical-grade retinoids, such as our custom formula’s, are known to work faster than retinol. They regulate skin cell turnover quicker than other products and help repair the skin barrier, effectively reducing acne and scarring. They also boost collagen production and help your skin produce the natural chemicals it needs to prevent signs of ageing.
If in doubt, consult with our medical team.
